Dogs are wonderful pets to have around children. There are lots of breeds that are very calm around kids. Black labrador dogs fall into this category too. Here’s a story about a sweet little girl and her labrador brothers.
Jessie Lee is the youngest daughter of the family. She’s 16-months-old. Before she was born, the family already owned two retriever dogs. Nowadays, Jessie has learned to interact and take care of them.
Sometimes Jessie would take the food bowls and prepare “meals” for the dogs. She hasn’t quite mastered this yet, but she’s got the spirit. She also knows how to give them snacks, and sometimes it’s her own meal.
Every interaction with Jessie and the dogs is absolutely wholesome. The parents believe that Jessie’s interaction with the dogs will teach her to be a more emphatic person. It’s unlikely that she will become self-centered when she is in an environment that caters to empathy.
The retriever brothers are very cautious and mindful when they’re around Jessie. They try their best to watch her and make sure she’s not doing anything dangerous. Also, they are always cleaned before they return inside the house.
The retrievers also have no issue being touched by the child. They are very tolerant and will only take the initiative when Jessie is holding an unknown object. When that happens, the dogs take the item from Jessie’s hands.
The parents also taught Jessie how to clean the dogs. When she gets older, she’ll get better at caring for them. Jessie is also an only child at the time of filming this story. This means she’s learning things from the dogs that other kids would usually learn from their siblings.
This family is teaching the language of love. Hopefully, Jessie grows up to be a wonderful young lady. Also, may the labradors live a long, happy life as well.
