There was a big flood in Louisiana. Employees from Villalobos Rescue Center went to some of the affected areas to see what they can do to help. They gave donations like dog food, diapers, and clean water.
Tia, the head of Villalobos Rescue Center, came across a woman who told her about a dog named Missy. Missy’s owner was rushed to the hospital after she was rescued from the flood. She had a couple of health issues that needed to be addressed urgently.
Missy not only lost her owner but her brother as well. Their owner had both of the dogs initially. The other dog named Jericho fell overboard during the rescue. Since Jericho was about seventeen years old, with his age and health, he couldn’t swim as fast as he should have.
The rescuers couldn’t find him, and they needed to move on and rescue other people. It was truly heartbreaking. Missy got depressed. A concerned woman named Anita is also a flood victim asked Tia if they can take Missy temporarily.
Tia happily obliged. They will take care of Missy until she can be reunited with her mother. One day Trevor, a friend of Tia’s, also rescued dogs who were flood victims. In one of his photos, someone recognized the dog that he just rescued. It was Jericho.
Tia cannot believe it. She was so sure that Jericho died in flood. There was no way that he survived after he fell overboard. His being alive was nothing short of a miracle.
Jericho was in bad shape when he was found, but Trevor found a good vet who checked her. She made sure that Jericho was stable.
Tia happily reunited both Missy and Jericho to their owner. Thanks to people like Trevor. People like him who genuinely cares for other people’s pet.
