Sometimes the loyalty of a dog is too incredible for words. Dogs can be so loyal and faithful to their humans that they would do whatever it takes to make sure their humans are safe.
Many times, our hearts melt when we witness the loyalty and protectiveness of dogs to their family. Such was the case when two dogs refused to leave their owners’ side as he was taken the hospital. The scene was featured on national TV.
Medical workers in Chimbote, Peru had to rush a man to the hospital’s emergency room because of a bad fall. The man reportedly hit his head, which necessitated immediate medical attention.
As the man was being carried inside the ambulance, his two dogs jumped in and refused to leave his side. As responders tended to the man, the dogs stayed by his head. The man’s two furry friends both looked worried; they were restless as they watched people attend to their owner.
One of them kept kissing him by his head, perhaps hoping to ease his pain and to let him know he wasn’t alone. The man, who seemed half-conscious, reached out his hand and touched the dog, assuring him he was alright.
However, the dogs couldn’t be separated from him. As responders took the man out of the ambulance and wheeled him into the emergency room, his two loyal companions followed, jumping up to the stretcher now and then. The people in the hospital couldn’t help but notice the dogs’ visible concern for their owner.
When the man was inside the emergency room, one of his dogs jumped in the stretcher with him and lay beside him. The man, seemingly comforted by the dog’s presence, put his arm around the dog and patted him on the back.
The short video clip lasted less than a minute, yet it touched the hearts of those who had seen it. The two dogs’ display of affection for their human reminds us of the kind of love that only our furry friends can give.
