There were 17 dogs as well as other animals who got help from a man. This man helped his fried save animals that were affected by the wildfires happening in California.
Dan Sauvageau is from Roseville, California and he works as a contractor. He went to Magalia in Butte County with his huge vehicle that came with a trailer for livestock. He brought it with him because he knew that it could be used to evacuate the animals that his friend has which included three goats, a donkey, a dog, and a cat.
While Dan and his friend were helping the animals, some locals also asked Dan if he could help move other animals that were affected by the forest fire. Dan loves animals and so he knew that he should help. On one trip, he was able to bring a dozen dogs.
Dan recorded videos while he worked. In one of the videos, you can see a volunteer trying to help dogs. The volunteer has some food to lure the dogs away from danger. He then addresses the dogs following the volunteer if they were ready to go somewhere safe. The dogs maybe understood him and were willing to evacuate.
Dan said that the dogs that he asked seemed happy that he was there to help them. They were even wagging their tails despite him being a stranger.
Dan was scheduled to go back home after a few days but he stayed several more days to make sure that he could still lend his assistance to other animals that were still in danger from the forest fire.
All in all, Dan was able to help rescue a ton of animals that included 12 cats, one donkey, six goats, and 17 dogs. Though there were still animals that needed help, Dan was happy when he left because he saw more volunteers coming to help out.
